Ingredients
4 cup cooked rice
2-3 spring onions
2 medium sized carrots
8-10 french beans
6-7 tbsp oil
1 tbsp soya sauce
½ tsp ajinomoto
Salt as per taste
Cuisine: Cooking time: 20 mins Serving: 4 people

Method for cooking rice

  1. For preparing fried rice, cook rice at least 2 hrs in advance.
  2. Cook rice in plenty of water. (Avoid using Basmati rice) Add ½ tsp of salt and sesame oil while cooking rice. This will enable the grain to separate, cook well and add unique flavor to the dish.
  3. Drain excess water, when rice is cooked.
  4. Spread cooked rice on a large tray for at least 30 minutes, so that grains do not stick to each other.
  5. Add soya sauce to the cooked rice and keep it aside.
  6. Heat oil in a wok or fry pan, sauté spring onions, carrot, beans for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Add rice, ajinomoto, salt and mix well.
  8. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
